In this video, we take a look at an interesting element of the Los Angeles Metro system: The G Line!

Originally named the Orange Line, this line connects various places in the San Fernando Valley (located Northwest of downtown), with stations between the subway (B Line) stop in North Hollywood and railway depot in Chatsworth.

On top of that, this line of course also has the distinction of being one of two busway lines in the main Metro system, with the buses essentially functioning like trains by having their own separated platforms and roadways.

With the amount of neighborhoods and connections it provides, the line gets a decent amount of use for what it is, with even larger buses being fully crowded at select times.

The idea of converting the line to light rail trains has been long proposed, but plans to begin construction could take a while permitting current funding and planning.
