Explanation of why the area of a circle is equal to pi times the radius squared, i.e. A=πR².
If we divide a circle into many equal portions and put those portions together in a certain way, it is possible to intuitively realize that the area of the circle can be assimilated to the area of a rectangle (base times height) and from there arrive at the result we are looking for for the circle.
