Welcome to my Oura Ring Generation 3 scratch video. Here I will explore whether the Oura Ring keeps looking nice even though you might apply pressure to it from deadlifting in the gym, for instance. Here are my findings:

✅ In this video I show you different rings from different years - 4 rings, in fact. I've used these rings in the gym, outdoors while working on the farm, and saunas. The ring of my wife is included as well. I've got two stealth rings, and one black ring for myself. My wife has a silver ring.
✅ The benefit of this approach is that you can really observe how well the products hold up after many years of use.
✅ I've got a very active lifestyle on the farm and garden myself, as well as spending time in the gym and hunting, which all increase the wear and tear on the Oura Ring.
✅ In previous reviews, I've stated that the stealth ring isn't worth the extra money and that it's better to get the black ring. The stealth looks nice when you're ordering it but in reality there isn't too much of a difference.
✅ In fact, my previous stealth ring has scratched a lot more than the black version! I've only had the stealth version for a month or two because it was my replacement version. Deadlifting with 200 or 230 kilograms has caused many of the scratches on that ring. The $399 stealth ring has been ripped after 2 months of use.
✅ On the stealth version, you can see some scratches on the top, and some scratches on the body of the ring. On the bottom of the body of the ring it's really bad though!
✅ Regarding the black ring, the cheaper version, it also scratches around the edges just like the stealth version. On the body of the ring, there are only minor scratches.
✅ One of my black rings, which I used when my son was born, has a decent amount of scratching as well, even though I didn't train in the gym during that time. I used this ring for a year. The scratching is way less than the 2 months of the stealth version use though!
✅ Conclusion? All of the generation 2 rings will scratch. I bought these rings for the health data they provide, not as a fashion benefit though. The scratches don't bother me personally though.
✅ My wife's silver ring wasn't used as much. The ring has minor scratching. The silver ring hides it all though, which is good.
✅ The Generation 3 ring? I've quite heavily used this ring doing gym work and chopping firewood. I've actually done 10-12 reps of heavy deadlifts with the ring, and the ring should scratch with that. After 1 week of use though, the Oura Ring generation 3 looks really good and there's barely any scratching on it. I've got the black version though.
✅ One week later, I do have heavy scratching on the ring after another gym session.
✅ So, overall, even the generation 3 ring scratches - I'll make sure to update my findings after 6 months for you! Like and subscribe to stay updated!
