Michigan Governor Rick Snyder not only signed the unpopular adoption "reform" law that allows religious organizations to deny adoptions to LGBT couples, but the administration is outsourcing jobs and closing facilities in a number of critical service areas - adoption, independent living, juvenile justice. The Maxey Boys Training School, the facility of last resort for youngsters deemed dangerous, is closing as well. Ray Holman, legislature liaison for UAW Local Chapter 6000, explores all the reasons this is bad news.
