Abstract

Red Hat Developer Hub (RHDH) is Red Hat's enterprise version of Backstage, with supported plug-ins that enhance the developer experience and encompass critical developer tasks. But what does that mean, exactly? This tech talk will explain the fundamentals of Backstage, how RHDH adds to its functionality, and the advantages it offers developers. You’ll also learn how Backstage works and how a platform engineer can use it to tailor the developer experience.

Ian was a long-time developer in the UK government space and a JavaA fanatic who worked on various AI and UX projects until jumping the fence to join Red Hat in 2012. Since then, he has been fighting the good fight for developers and evanglizing Red Hat technologies. He now works as a Developer Advocate and will talk about OpenShift all day if you let him.
