The Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva. This ancient temple is located on the banks of the Godavari River, around eighteen miles from Panchavati, in Nashik district, Maharashtra. Inside the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, there are three small Shivlingas situated in a small pit, which represent Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. These Shivlingas are self-manifested, meaning they were not established by anyone. It is believed that Sage Gautam and the Godavari River prayed to Lord Shiva to reside here, and thus, Lord Shiva resides here in the form of the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga.
