This video, shot in July 2021, shows the moment when I discovered a series of cropmarks outside Drogheda which probably represent an early medieval farm complex. I had previously seen something in the field from a distance, but on this day decided to fly the drone from the Beaubec excavations (see other videos about that) over to the field. I was immediately delighted to see several cropmarks. These were later reported to the National Monuments Service and have been recorded on their Historic Environment Viewer - see records: ME020-092001-; ME020-092002-; ME020-092003-; ME020-091----; ME020-093----.
