Former US President Donald Trump and incumbent Joe Biden debated in a TV debate about who can play golf better. He can hit the ball very far, while Biden can't hit the ball 50 yards, Trump said in response to a question about his age. "I think I'm in very good shape," the 78-year-old stressed. Biden said he would love to play golf with Trump if the Republican carried his own bag. "Do you think you can do that?" asked Biden. The 81-year-old also criticized Trump for his high weight.

The moderator had previously asked Biden about his advanced age. "This guy is three years younger and much less competent," the Democrat said, addressing Trump. Otherwise, he largely avoided the question. Trump boasted that he had taken two cognitive tests. "I passed both with flying colors." He wanted to see how Biden would do on such a test. "Take one. Just one, a very easy one, just the first five questions."

The advanced age of the two opponents is a constant theme in the election campaign. Biden entered the White House as the oldest US president of all time and is now 81 years old. Trump is 78 and therefore hardly younger. Both regularly make mistakes in public appearances.
