The manufacturing sector has recorded another improvement in June.

According to the Absa Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), headline PMI rose from 43-point-8 points to 45.7 points in June.

However, this is the second consecutive month that PMI remained below the 50-point mark.

Below 50 is indicative of the sector being in contraction, while above 50, points to an expansion.
