Knowing your genetic predisposition to developing JC virus, the precursor to PML, is another advance that lets MS patients (and their doctors) make better informed decisions before things may become an issue. Especially if they are already on, or are going to take, Tysabri/Tyruko.

Presently, the test is only available in the US but they are actively looking for lab partners in the UK and Europe so hopefully we won't be far behind.
