After a four year long wait and and a controversial shift for co-creator and star Aziz Ansari in the heat of the #MeToo era, Master of None has returned to Netflix with a surprise third season. But season 3 of the show, subtitled Moments in Love, bares little resemblance to the series that came before it.

Focusing primarily on Lena Waithe's character Denise, the five episode season is co-written by Ansari and Waithe, and directed entirely by Ansari. Shot on super grainy 16mm film in a 4x3 aspect ratio, season 3 moves away from the style, tone and general vibe of the earlier two seasons. But is it still the same show?

Let's get into it...
