Today I share with you one method of engraving (etching) clear acrylic using a diode laser with the help of Tempera paint. This method does and OK job on clear acrylic however this same method on glass looks amazing. The trick is to have a smooth paint job.

You can also SPRAY a watered-down mixture of tempera paint using a fine sprayer. You may have to water it down a bit more for it to spray but I have seen people use it with great success on acrylic, glass, etc.: https://amzn.to/3PzpMek
