Both the purchase of a motorhome and the first winter camping tour through snow and ice must be carefully considered. We accompany two entry-level families in their dream of living in a motorhome.
Barbara and Jürgen Kleine-Beck, long-term campers out of passion for 13 years, long for great freedom. Your leased parcel on the Lower Rhine is to be exchanged for a beautiful motorhome. Her big dream: camping in Norway! But it all starts with the search for the right caravan. With such a purchase, of course, a lot has to be considered and nothing should be left to chance. But should it be a used car or a new one?
Petra and Rüdiger Erbslöh are adventurous. The couple has had their own mobile home for a year. In the summer they already did their first big tour with it. Now they want to go winter camping for the first time. For the tour, however, your "Olaf" still has to be winterized. The two can put together a lot on their own, but in the end the thrifty couple still has to spend 2,500 euros on winter tires and cold protection. Will everything work out? Or will Rüdiger, who is sensitive to the cold, still freeze despite the sheepskin mattress topper?
