"The personality of Ratan Tata was exemplary. The way Tata empire is serving the nation, it has a unique significance. He was a simple man, used to live in a 2-bedroom flat. This is a message in itself for the nation. I believe that his values were exemplary. May his soul rest in peace, may god give the strength to the family to bear the loss," says Former Rajasthan CM and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot


The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
