Today I am restoring an antique 1978 Feurhand 276 Baby Special kerosene lantern. This is probably the most well known model that came from Feurhand, and is still being sold today.

The lamp was in decent shape, with the glass looking beautiful, but the paint was a bit rough looking, scratched in multiple places and some rust spots were beginning to form. The biggest issue with this restoration was working with the "Sturmkappe", given that it probably wasn't meant to come off once manufactured. Reattaching it was a nightmare. I would recommend anyone working on one of this to avoid removing it, and to work around it. Despite this, the end result was quite good, and the new mic I picked up came up with some real nice ASMR moments. Enjoy!
