Pedro Martinez had a very inspiring Hall of Fame induction speech today, dedicating much of his success and this day to his Dominican homeland, especially at the end, when he asked the only other Dominican in the HOF, Juan Marichal, to join him in displaying the DR flag on the stage as a symbol of hope for his country. As Kevin Burkhardt and others have said, he was a Hall of Fame person well before becoming a Hall of Fame inductee. Here's the final 3 minutes of his speech today.
