By the time you see this, the 15th Doctor will have made his debut, and here I am looking at a book from an older edition of the Doctor Who TTRPG -- but hear me out! This book is more complete, better-organised, and includes more detail than the previous boxsets, and is very much worth picking up if you're into some 'timey-wimey stuff'.

Honestly, a bit of spoiler territory here, but if you want to do a Doctor Who RPG, I'd recommend this and the related line of hardcover supplements over the new 2nd Edition (and I'll explain why when we look at 2nd Edition in an upcoming video). Doctors and Daleks is surprisingly clever about working Doctor Who into a 5e framework, if you prefer rolling d20s over 2d6 (and yes I own it, and yes it will get a video review as well). If you want an amazing and more general time-travel-based RPG, pick up Timewatch from Pelgrane (and yes, I'll do a video on that too).

In any case, I hope you all had a Happy Christmas! As we kick off 2024 I've got another huge stack of Black Friday stuff to preview that finally arrived, and of course Doctor Who 2e. Over the rest of the year I've got an alarmingly large stack of other Star Trek Adventures/2d20 stuff, Cypher stuff, Call of Cthulhu/RuneQuest/BRP, GUMSHOE, etc. to cover, plus all the various Kickstarters due to dump books on me in the next year. Not to mention more stuff to cover on Star Fleet Battles, etc.

I've no intention to cover 5E, D&D 2024, or Pathfinder 2E, because other channels have that covered, and I'd much rather talk about games that do something different in the TTRPG space. I know that automatically hamstrings this channel in a way, but honestly I want to talk about games that I love, not give yet more airtime to systems that already dominate the space.

So I just want to say again how much I appreciate all my subscribers, and that at least some of you watch my overly-detailed rambles about the more obscure side of the hobby :) This is a pure passion project for me; I have a real job that demands all my time and has crushed my soul and ruined my health, and the fact that my little outlet for talking about the games that keep me sane has gathered any following at all is honestly amazing, and I really appreciate every single one of you. Thank you, and I hope all of you have a wonderful year of gaming (and puzzling) in 2024 :)
