Dr. David Harriman is an active kidney transplant surgeon and AssistantProfessor in the UBC Department of Urologic Sciences in Vancouver, BC. He completed his Urology Residency at UBC then completed a 2-year accredited American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) Kidney and Pancreas Fellowship at Wake Forest University. His clinical interests include transplantation of kidneys from marginal donors and medically and surgically high risk recipients, while academically, he is interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms leading to kidney transplant dysfunction with the goal of developing new diagnostics and therapeutics.
