The Minnesota State Capitol (in St Paul) recently underwent a multi-hundred million dollar renovation. It originally opened in the early 1900's, and was built with two Otis gated elevators. Sometime in the 1960's, they modernized the Elevators to automatic operation, but walled in the cab and doors, as well as divided one of the larger elevators, into two smaller ones. The elevators were again modernized to a generic in the late 1990's, and after the Capitol building was closed for renovations a couple years ago I was fearing the worst. Turns out they did the most amazing mod job I have ever seen, turning them back into scenic elevators into the shaft and the doors, restoring the antique look. I'm not quite sure who installed these, as they seem to be unbranded.

I've been taking a break over the past couple months from posting new videos, but my backlog is getting pretty big and I just couldn't resist posting these after visiting this morning. Enjoy!
