Club Olimpia is a sports organization based in the city of AsunciĆ³n, Paraguay. It promotes the practice of various sports. It was founded on July 25, 1902 by a group of young Paraguayans. The name comes from the idea of the main founding member, William Paats, a Dutchman living in Paraguay at the end of the 19th century, who is considered the father of Paraguayan football for having introduced and fostered the practice of this sport in the country. The soccer team plays its games at the Manuel Ferreira Stadium, better known as "O Bosque Para Um".
