Once upon a time there was a tranquil pond in Stony Brook, NY. Originally dammed to power a gristmill, it evolved into a popular place to feed the ducks, do some bird-watching and perhaps even caste a fishing line.

Recent events have brought a lot of attention to this unassuming pond. (https://www.wshu.org/long-island-news...) But long before it was in the news Mill Pond was a well-loved destination. Its existence has brought a lot of joy to a lot of people over the years. I'm happy to be able to share it here with you.

Thank you for watching. :)

Enjoy a brisk walk - all walking, no talking - with captions and music.

Quick Note:
** I do have additional footage that I took at the adjacent Avalon Preserve, that will be posted at a future date, I also have some additional footage of the pond taken back in June of 2024 that I will also post at a later date (as part of the Avalon footage.)**

It is my goal to produce high quality content that is suitable for use on a treadmill. The pace is roughly 3mph (5KPH) and I aim to keep the camera as steady as possible. You will notice there is no spoken commentary. Generally speaking, I like to record not only the sights but the sounds of the places I walk through - this keeps the experience as close to reality as possible with the goal of making the videos as immersive as possible.

Walking is such an important step (pun intended) that we can all take to better our health and well-being. I hope these videos inspire you to walk further and to walk often.
