Tom Wessels is a terrestrial ecologist and Antioch University New England professor emeritus. He has authored five books.

Organisms become more and more complex through evolutionary time, and Tom takes us into the forest to explain the ecological principles at work here, with examples of plants, birds, lichens, and insects.
