Rudolf Steiner designed the curriculum not to be a linear experience for the student, instead he designed it as a spiral in which the student would experience topics again, only in a different way or level. This spiraling allows students to take in a topic in one grade and then to have it come again when they are developmentally ready to see it with greater depth or in a new light. We will explore this interesting aspect of the curriculum and why a Waldorf education is truly a kindergarten through twelfth grade experience.
