In this video, I will be talking about the book “A Demon’s Guide to Wooing a Witch” by Sarah Hawley.

This book is the sequel to “A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon.” I read that book in November, and it was a perfect fun book for spooky season.

In the first book, Mariel Sparks is practicing her magic when she accidentally summons a Demon into her kitchen. In order for the Demon, Ozroth the Ruthless, to leave, he needs to make a bargain with Mariel to take her soul. Throughout the book, Mariel and Oz grow closer, and work to try to figure out how to avoid the bargain.

At the end of Book 1, Astaroth, a powerful demon on the High Council attempts to steal Mariel’s soul when Oz fails. Mariel’s best friend, Calladia Cunnington beats him up.

This book picks up immediately following the events of Book 1. Astaroth made a bet with another demon, Moloch, that Oz would be able to gain Mariel’s soul. If he failed, Moloch could do to Astaroth whatever he wanted. Astaroth lost the bet, and with it, he lost his immortality and memories.

Calladia finds Astaroth after getting beaten up by Moloch. She offers him a safe place to stay at her house until she can find him help. While he is staying at her house, Moloch attacks again and blows up Calladia’s lovely home. Now, she is invested in helping Astaroth get his memories back to defeat Moloch.

Calladia and Astaroth go on a quest to find the secret to immortality and to hopefully regain his memories.
