This video is part 3 of the series I've been sharing with you about the principle of least action. The first video was about a particle in Newtonian mechanics, and the second was about a particle in special relativity. In this video, we'll learn about the principle of least action for a particle in general relativity. The action is just the length of the particle's worldline through spacetime, and it picks the straightest and shortest path that it can. The fourth video is about a string in string theory.
