Ash, May, Max, and Brock are invited to the laboratory of Dr. Yung, a Pokémon scientist who has developed a new Mirage System to resurrect extinct Pokémon. However, when the Mirage Master, a mysterious stranger who claims that the machine can actually create Pokémon without weaknesses, kidnaps Dr. Yung, Ash and his friends must race against time to stop him from using the Mirage System for his own evil purposes.

Along the way, Ash and his friends will have to battle powerful Mirage Pokémon, including a resurrected Aerodactyl and a new Mirage Pokémon created by the Mirage Master himself. They will also have to team up with Misty, Professor Oak, and Mew to defeat the Mirage Master and save Dr. Yung.
