অরগানিক পদ্ধতিতে ইতালি জাতের চেরি টমেটো চাষ করে তাক লাগিয়েছেন নওগাঁর উদ্যোক্তা মাসুদ রানা। দেখতে সুন্দর, সুস্বাধু ও পুষ্টিগুন সমৃদ্ধ বিদেশি এ জাতের টমেটোর ফলনও হয়েছে দ্বিগুন। তার এই চাষ পদ্ধতি ও ফলন দেখে আগ্রহ বাড়ছে স্থানীয় কৃষকদের। এ জেলায় এর এখনো বাজার তৈরী না হওয়ায় কিছুটা বিপাকে এই উদ্যোক্তা। তবে এ টমেটোর বাজার তৈরী করতে কাজ করছেন কৃষি বিভাগ।
