FLORIDA: "Launch window open!" Will Hera save us? This is how ESA wants to avert asteroid threats!

The ESA probe Hera is designed to help protect the Earth from dangerous asteroids. Using valuable data from the asteroid Dimorphos, it hopes to find out how impact processes change the orbits of celestial bodies. This research is crucial for future missions to keep asteroids away from the Earth in an emergency. Hera will launch from Cape Canaveral and will reach its destination after a flight time of just over two and a half years.
