In this short documentary we take a look at the 2021 deployment of Australian firefighters to Canada. We hear from Inspector Rolf Poole about what occurred when the helicopter he was flying in was tasked to rescue three Canadian firefighters who were using a chainsaw to protect themselves from an aggressive bear in their camp.

We also speak with other Australian and Canadian crews on the fire ground and see the differences in tactics and style of operations used in firefighting operations in Canada.
