Yes, that’s what TE TE TE is about.
I started to work on it 6 months ago when I randomly found a song on Spotify called „Agboju Logun“. The song is 11 minutes long (radio edit) and has like 100k streams. I had it on play and after minute 1:55 a female choir came in singing „Te Te Te Mura side o, Ojo n Lo“. I didn’t understand a single word so I hired a guy on fiverr to translate it. Ha, not that easy. There are more than 2000 languages of africa so what should I type in? Translator English to Africa? It surprisingly worked.
It says „Be Fast, don’t waste no time. be hardworking and dont be lazy cause time is going“ So this is your song to listen to if you find yourself scrolling through TikTok for 3 hours. Since this song differs from my actual sound, i tried to keep it as close as to all other folk house songs - organic, acoustic and of course bringing in a trumpet. the only electronic element in this whole song is the drums. Everything else live recorded. Bassline, Trumpet, Guitars, Electric Guitars, Chants, Bongos. And of course we need BEGINNERS on it. every time im doing more of a fun/dance song, i hit her up. she always nails it and managed it
to build an authentic bridge between a traditional song and more modern sounding song. Hope you guys like it!!
