We teach you how to attach the backing to the fly line with the use of a improved clinch knot. There is also a few tips in how to prolong the life of your fly lines with the use of loop guards. Finally we teach you how to attach your leader or tippet to your fly line with a perfection loop. The rod we are using in the video is a 8wt Redington Crux and the fly reel is a Redington Behemoth 7/8. Our fly line of choice for the pacific northwest is the Scientific Angler Sonar Titan sink tip WF-8-F/S 6. These are great cold water fly lines.
