Agar.io is (or was, depending upon how you view it ) is a multiplayer game where you control a cell on a grid with your mouse, and your goal is to grow your cell by eating smaller cells and food.. As your cell grows, you would earn higher scores and maybe a chance at the leader-boards.

You can also eject mass by pressing "w" or split your cell by pressing "space-bar" key.Virus split you in as many parts as possible when absorbed.

The demise of agar.io
1. Heavy competition from new and upcoming games in .io and outside .io genre, like Deip.io and
PUBG.
2. Main servers were plagued with hackers and bots. ( They still are...)
3. Became very competitive, to the point of frustration for players.
4. Teaming problems, giving few players, unfair advantage.
5. The game struggled to introduce new features and modes to keep players engaged, resulting in repetitive gameplay.
6. Game failed to evolve with time.
7. Agar.io measures were too little, too late.
Despite all this, Agar.io will be remembered for the fun it provided to many players around the world.
