With extreme excitement I flew from Lima to Cusco on a LATAM A320 but was hesitant about breathing at 11,200 feet above sea level. Because of the thin air, the Cusco airport has an 11,146 foot long runway and can only be used in one direction for landing and the opposite direction for taking off due to challenging high terrain on 3 sides. For this flight, I strategically chose a seat on the left side for the thrilling views and was delighted with an amazing approach in the mountains. As always this is a fulled explained video.
