The Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) issued an orange warning for thunderstorms on Tuesday between 16:00 and 23:00 in the provinces of Hainaut, Namur, Walloon Brabant, Flemish Brabant, Limburg and Antwerp, as well as in the Brussels region.

Indeed, “a thermal trough will pass from southwest to northeast today in the afternoon and early evening,” the IRM warned. Thunderstorms began to occur in parts of Belgium. IRM also predicts strong winds, hail and large amounts of rainfall in the short term.
