A Puppy’s life saved by Telo RINPOCHE

A week before the celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 89th Birthday, I was with Telo Rinpoche during his retreat/workshop in the Mongolian countryside. I was fully breathing in the beauty of meadows, herbs, the imposing Rocky Mountains and Sky of the Mongolian nomads and countryside.

On our departure day, a delay caused by Matteo’s spontaneous countryside visit led us to a chance encounter with a wounded puppy on the road. @telo_rinpoche_diluv_hutugthu moved by compassion, rescued the injured dog probably hit by a uncaring car and left it hurting in the middle of the busy road.

Despite the setback, our journey back to Ulaanbaatar became a mission to ensure this puppy’s well-being, with Rinpoche promptly seeking veterinary care upon our return. This unexpected episode left a lasting impact, reminding us of the power of kindness and the unpredictability of life’s moments.

Rinpoche named this four month old puppy “LUCKY” and now she is safe, healing well and happy being with Rinpoche.

I had heaps of fun trying to get Lucky to poop & pee outside your apartment, but all my efforts gone when she decided to make the balcony next to your alter room her spot (lol).
I don’t even want to think - what would have happened to Lucky if you didn’t saved her on that fateful day! Thank you 🙏 for your compassion in action.
