When I was in my teens, I went to the Singles Conference held by Pastors Olumide and Ify Emmanuel at the National Stadium, joining thousands at the jam-packed event. I couldn’t have known that while they taught, their marriage had become a battle zone, with his wife allegedly being physically violent and taking his children away from him ever since.

He says from that deep pain came his message to the world on marriage, relationships and faith, helping people understand what they should do to themselves and what they should take to God in prayer.
I have been invited to preach at Dr Emmanuel’s church in my other lives over a decade ago, and have seen the lives he has changed close up.
