Welcome to Top Tread Stairways!
Today you get to watch us install an open-riser white oak stairway.
This stair was custom-built in our stair shop and delivered to the Job-site as a fully assembled unit.

We had installed a temporary stair a few months before for access during construction.
(Taking the screws out of the temp stair)

First we remove the temporary stair.
(Give me some ladders please.)

Out she goes...

Here comes the stair cart...

And here's the stairway.

Check out the stair lift!
(Some more blankets please)

Now what?
Let's get this thing in its proper position.

And now we're ready to go up.
Up we go!

Put that ladder under there, just to be sure.

Up some more...

Amazing! It's a perfect fit.

Now, to make sure that thing is nice and tight at the top before we fasten it.

Alright, take your shoes off and head up the stair...

Push it forward just a bit more.

Oh, and listen to this: It so happens that the owner walks in.
(Watch her jaw hit the floor)

Ahh!

"Pretty stairs! Really pretty stairs! Really pretty stairs!"

Needless to say, she was very impressed.

This is a dream come true!
Top Tread Stairways is simply honored to be part of this dream.
Watching that smile spread across my client's face is the greatest reward of my trade.
Nothing makes my day like another customer who is thrilled with my product. That's why I love my job!

Okay, give that thing just a bit more of a push forward.
Perfect.

Measure the first riser (or Make sure the first riser is set at the correct height.)
Now to fasten the stair to the wall.

First check for studs.

Drill hole for fastener

After we touch that plug with a bit of sandpaper, it will blend in perfectly.

And here is the finished product!
