G'day everyone,

I have started the process of upgrading my Sieg x2.7 vertical mill. Over the few moths that I have been getting to know this mill, I have made a few modifications and upgrades that have drastically improved the easy of use of the mill.

In this video I will be talking about 7 easy improvements that I have done to the mill that can be done in the matter of a few hours. These include removing the clutch on the leadscrew for easier use of the table feed. Replacing the quill locking bolt with a permanent handle. Adding t-slot inserts to prevent chips building up in the t-slots. Using coolant and cutting oil on the mill and making a non spill holder. Making a drainage system for the mill table. Making a chip guard/chip shield.

Cheers
