Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for at least 12 Odisha districts over the next three hours.Light to moderate rain/thundershower likely to affect some parts of the districts of Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Balasore, Cuttack, Khordha, Rayagada, Gajapati, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Ganjam and Puri within next three hours," the IMD bulletin said.

Centre revises wheat-rice ratio for ration card holders in 9 states including Odisha; new rule from October The Centre has stated that there would be no change in cost-sharing on account of such distribution including food subsidy, intra-state transportation and dealer’s margin.The ration card holders in Odisha will now get wheat along with rice as the Centre has revised wheat-rice ratio and increased the allocation of wheat by 35 LMT.The allocation of rice and wheat under NFSA/PMGKAY has been revised for 9 states – Odisha, Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. A letter in this regard has been sent to the officials of all the nine states by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
