The process of replacing the brake pads and front disks on a W205 Mercedes C Class. This car is a 2015 model and belongs to my dad. He had been complaining that the car was showing a 'replace brake pad' message on the instrument cluster. As it turned out, the rear pads were quite thin, to the point where the rear wear sensor was worn through. However, the disks were still fine, so they were not changed. On the front, there was a lip on the inner edge of the inside pads caused by a corrosion lip on the inner edge of the disks. The disks themselves were still above the minimum thickness and not worn, so I had a friend put them on his lathe to remove the lip.

It is not the hardest brake job to do; however, you do need diagnostic equipment to put the handbrake into service position, and a rewind tool to push the rear caliper pistons in to create the clearance required for the new pads. In addition to that, a snapped locking wheel bolt key did add to the hassle a bit.
