Goalkeeper session working on handling and footwork practices with an element of a mental challenge and awareness with the WFC Watford academy keepers Eric, Sahil and Paul.

We first looked at movements without the ball working to the coloured cones and manequin.

This progressed to a volley service incorporating movements in relation to certain triggers, colours and directions to challenge the keepers awareness, speed to react.

When your working with your goalkeepers and taking ideas from sessions just be mindful of their ability, is the practise going to develop their goalkeeping?

Some of the drills in this video are for more advanced goalkeepers but you can certainly change certain aspects to cater for all age groups and abilities.
