Try giving your ribbing a little color pizzazz by incorporating a second color into your ribbing for fun vertical colorful stripes. This video gives full step by step instructions for knitting this 2 color ribbing in the round. It is a great way to practice two color knitting for either fair isle knitting or stranded knitting. Two color ribbing in the round:
Cast on even number of stitches
Set up round 1: Purl all stitches
Set up round 2: Knit all stitches alternating between the primary color in your right hand and the secondary color in your left hand.
Repeat round: (K1, P1) repeat - knitting all the knit stitches with your primary color in your right and and purling all stitches with the secondary color in your left hand.
