The one and only Hiro Mashima.

I am an avid enjoyer of Hiro Mashima's works. I wouldn't write essays on any of them, maybe except for Rave Master, but I always read everything he made to completion, and I always enjoyed it. It always feels like he has a lot of fun making these series, and that vibe gets passed on to the readers. I still get nostalgic about Fairy Tail every now and then and get an urge to pick it up again or re-watch the anime...because that OST is absolutely incredible.

However, there are some common issues with his approaches...like the constant reuse of character designs, and concepts, and names, and mascots...yeah, there are quite a few of these assets. But despite this reuse of assets, every manga he creates becomes a hit. So, he must be doing something right. He must have mastered a successful formula and must have broken the code.
