Effective March 1, Frontier became the new hauler for the city of Helotes, taking it from Republic. After Republic bought out C6, Helotes became a contract that Republic had some struggles with. After a little over a year with Republic, Helotes decided that Republic just didn’t cut it. In February of this year, they terminated their contract with Republic and awarded it to Frontier, further expanding Frontier’s presence in the San Antonio market. Here are the two trucks that frontier brought in to service the city, collecting on their second week here. Frontier rolled out brand new trash cans to all residents but just put stickers on all the recycle bins, as C6 had rolled out recycle bins here a little over a year ago. While it sucks that a city full of Zarns got replaced with new carts, it’s cool that some buyout carts are sticking around.
