Join me on a beautiful, short hike to the Geneva Creek Iron Fens on the morning of June 4, 2024. This adventure begins on Upper Geneva Road and follows the Iron Fen Trail, covering a total distance of 2 miles (roundtrip).

The hike took place on a perfect sunny and clear morning, making for an ideal start to the day. The trail still had a lot of snow. The Geneva Creek Iron Fens are a rare and fascinating wetland ecosystem, characterized by high concentrations of iron that create striking reddish-brown formations and unique plant communities.
