New for 2019 is Megabass' Magdraft Freestyle Swimbait. The Megabass Magdraft has really come into the limelight in 2019 with pro Chris Zaldain throwing it nonstop and performing very well in some big tournaments, and what perfect timing for Megabass with the 2019 release of the new variation of the Magdraft: the Freestyle.

This initial version of the Freestyle is a 6 inch swimbait, with the exact same body as the traditional Magdraft, just without the internal harness. As a result, you can rig it weedless on a belly weighted swimbait hook, or exposed hook on a standard swimbait jighead, or you can rig it as a line thru to work more like the original Magdraft. I say initial version because there will almost inevitably be more sizes available later this year or next.

The Freestyle is sold 2 per package and retails for $12.99. I bought mine on Carolina Fishing Tackle. The three colors shown in this video are the Albino Pearl Shad, MB Gizzard (new color), and Perch (new color).
