Welcome to this week’s Sunday Mirning Bird Show. The first day of Spring was March 19th and it does seem spring-like around here. Flowers are blooming, bees are buzzing, and the birds are singing and starting to nest. The spring warmth and sunshine also brought on a burst of string algae growth in the woodland stream water feature. I don't want the birds to have to bathe in icky green stuff, so I gave the water feature a good cleaning. While I was at it, I shifted things around some and added a new log, created a walk-in beach access for the birds and other wildlife, and added a new perching branch next to the pool, bird bath section. A Mourning Dove and Eastern Phoebe kindly demonstrated the new features.

One of my favorite bits caught on the bird cams this week was a sweet little Tufted Titmouse who brought a sunflower seed to the bird bath. I'm not sure why he decided to take a bath before eating his sunflower seed, but it was pretty adorable.

Thanks for watching! Be safe out there and I'll see you next week!

If you enjoy bird videos with lots of nice close up views of the birds, or if youre interested in creating a backyard habitat with wildlife-friendly water features and landscaping, subscribe to this channel and turn on notifications so you don’t miss any new videos. New Sunday Morning Birds videos are posted each week on Sunday mornings at 6am eastern time. The Sunday Morning Birds videos follow bird activity here throughout the year. We have lots of year-round birds but our most active and exciting times of year are spring and fall migration. Summer can be pretty wonderful too. The number and variety of summer resident birds keeps growing! When there are a lot of nice birds around, I sometimes post extra videos during the week - so make sure you have those notifications turned on 🙂
