My Sony Alpha Mic Input Broke! The problem is the left (channel 1) does not record audio. Does Sony cover the repair out of warranty? This is my no-warranty experience, while I also found an easy workaround in post to recover the audio to the missing channel . More Info Below:

Written Summary - Audio Broken And Warranty Experience.:
Hey all, sadly my Sony A7R III joined the club of Alpha users with problematic audio inputs. If you're here I assume you likely have a similar problem, it seems like a common problem for Alpha cameras. Audio would only record to one channel only. After living with an easy workaround in post, the working-channel began to show signs of failure. So I sent it in for repairs with the hopes Sony would cover the costs even though it was one year out of warranty. Thankfully Sony did cover it so I though I would document the warranty experience here in Australia. Put this video together to anyone who is looking for help with their cameras.

PS sorry for getting the audio (left/right) channels backwards in a few parts of my video. I have clarified it with a few text pop-ups. Didn't even realise until I heard it after! In reality it doesn't matter which channels is affected, the problem is essentially the same would be the same. For the Adobe Premiere trick, just do it for the opposite channel.
