This once world famous industrial city is home to one of the UK's "NO-GO Zones" having some of the highest crime rates, homelessness and poverty to be found anywhere in the UK. Welcome to Bristol, one national tabloid named one area in Bristol the "UK's Skid Row". There are area's within Bristol that felt very dangerous, with crime rates way over double the national average I was shocked at the levels of social deprivation, the amount of abandoned empty shops and overall poverty within this major UK city! The city of Bristol in the South West of England statistically has some of the highest poverty rates in the nation, crime rate's over double the national average with Violence, Anti-Social Behaviour and homelessness the norm for this once grand industrial city. I was genuinely shocked by the poverty and disrepair of areas in Bristol. In more than one area nearly every shop is closed, boarded up and abandoned! I have never been anywhere like this in the UK!

Hearing from the real people on the streets of Bristol in the street interviews within the vlog was very sad, especially the homeless folk discussing their concerns for their future and the serious lack of help and support these homeless people receive.

Bristol's homeless crisis has been brewing for years... suffering from a serious lack of investment & support into the local infrastructure and people, leaving this once thriving, industrial City a shell of its former self! With a lack of housing, jobs and opportunity for the youth and a City centre that is being overrun by Crime, homelessness and poverty with areas just decaying and left to Rot... This is Broken Britain at its finest, the Death of the British middle and working class before your eyes!

A quick Google search of crime or homelessness in Bristol will inundate you with negative articles, take your pick! There is no denying area's of Bristol are some of the most deprived and poverty stricken places in the UK, but what is life like for the locals and homeless of Bristol? Join me to find out....
