I eventually found a suitable one with a natural body and neck.
The body is Alder and the neck Maple. Ive done Maple before and the neck turned out great. The burn on the body isnt as detailed as the neck, the timber is very dry and im wary of getting timbers that are glued together too wet incase of seperation.

The Lichtenberg process involves generating heat, combined with water this is an ideal recipe for delamination, be really careful doing the neck.
Not taken a guitar to pieces and succefully put it back together again so an interesting project for me, some soldering required which is a bit fiddly when youre reattaching the jack socket. Otherwise simple enough, start with the strings, then the hardware. Be careful when removing the bridge and you might have to get the soldering iron out.
Removing the pickups, open up the back plate and either desolder the wires or just use snips to cut them off. Making a diagram including wire colours and diagrams of where they go on the pots is a must unless you know youre stuff from old.
Basic tools, screwdriver, belt and finishing sanders, a soldering iron, wire cutters, little twiddly bits of tooling, as always the more tools you have the better but you can get away with basics, belt sanders are a major time saver.
I met a great lady on the #manomakersday called Susan Gardener, shes got serious carpentry skills and is a talented woodworker making guitars and actual tooling in her workshop. She gave me some good advice with this project and you can find her youtube channel here    / @susangardener
The hard part is now going to learn how to play it.
